A beautiful thing... "Spitfire?" Magpie saw him, standing before her in a bizarre setting, she was on Earth, and she could feel the warm breeze against her wings, while the sound of the waves that could not be seen echoed in her helm… She was surrounded by a forest, tropical trees decorated with colourful leaves and dancing branches that hung elegantly from their brown and tattered torsos.
The ground crunched as though each step that Spitfire took was on a pile of rustic dried leaves, though none were visible beneath the knots of purple vines and emerald green umbrella-like leaves. Magpie was transfixed to his feet, trying to work out where each crunch was

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI can see how much hard work and thought you've put into this piece, the amount of detail is amazing, and the image really sets the scene from the story. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished coloured piece, and I really like the animals watching from the branch. You already know from the Critique I wrote about the story how much I enjoyed it, and this outstanding image adds even more depth and meaning to it. As I was reading the story, I could just imagine how disorientated and worried Magpie was as she found herself in such an unfamiliar place, it sounded like she was worried she may have been losing her grip on reality when she felt she couldn't trust her own sensors.
